MEET OUR STAFF

Veterinary Clinic
Barb Gilbertson

Barb loves her work with dogs and cats. The challenges and constant learning required of this great profession make it especially rewarding. She is a 1980 graduate of the University of Minnesota. That's where she and her classmate husband, Dale, met. They have three grown children. Other interests included gardening, any outdoor activity, and spending time with family.


Veterinary Clinic
Dale Gilbertson

Dale handles the food animal duties of the practice. He graduated in 1980 from the University of Minnesota with a DVM degree and in 1997-2000 completed the Dairy Herd Management Certificate from the University of Wisconsin. His specialty is cows - especially dairy cows. He does lots of reproductive ultrasound work along with general bovine medicine and surgery.

Dale has coached youth sports programs in Wabasha. He enjoys watching his children play sports, outdoor activities, tending to their tree farm, and spending time with his family.


Animal Care
Sarah Fries

Sarah was raised in Kingsburg, California. She attended the University of California at Davis to obtain a B.S. in Animal Science and in 1999 to graduate from the School of Veterinary Medicine. Sarah has practiced veterinary medicine in California, Colorado, and currently in Minnesota. She has been with Wabasha Veterinary Service since June 2005. She enjoys interacting with people and their pets. Sarah lives in Wabasha with her husband and children.


Wabasha Vet
Lisa Brunner

Lisa graduated and was certified with a degree in Veterinary Technology from the Medical Institute of Minnesota in 1994. After an internship in Alberta, Canada, Lisa worked in Winona. She has been here at Wabasha Veterinary Service since 1997. Lisa lives in rural Nelson, Wisconsin, with her husband Jeff and daughters Kylie and Lauren.


Veterinary Services
Tammy Wingert

Tammy has been a receptionist for Wabasha Veterinary Service since January of 2002. She lives on a small hobby farm with her family in rural Wabasha.
